The Coronavirus Pandemic & Small Weddings

16/2/2021

We are now all realising that the Covid-19 virus is not planning to go away soon. It has turned our lives upside down, this has included changing our wedding plans. We are now having to consider either waiting for 6 months or more for a larger wedding or re-think and plan a small wedding with 15-30 guests.

I am here to help all new brides & grooms through this difficult time. To offer some information & advice so they can decide whether a small wedding is right for them.

Why should we decide on a small wedding?

Scaling down your wedding based on Government Guidelines surely isn't that bad? Personally, I think inviting your close family & friends will make it very, very special.   Using a live video link like Face-time or Zoom could also include more vulnerable guests, without the risk.  Relatives over-seas, who are unable to travel, can also be included in the 'live' Ceremony.

5 Reasons why you should have a small wedding:

1. ITS VERY PERSONAL
Surround yourself with people who love you & know you. Its less stressful and more relaxing.

2. SMALLER VENUES
You could consider smaller, more unique venues, amazing restaurants, museums, quirky B & B's, art gallery's, a garden party or a hillside retreat.  Be creative!

3. SAVE MONEY
Its not a budget wedding!  But you can save money having fewer guests.  This allowing you to be extravagant with everything, booking the most lavish meal,  fabulous wedding decorations, the dress of your dreams.  More 'wow' for less wallet with a small wedding.

4. DO IT YOUR WAY
You don't have to follow any traditional route.  Plan something personal to you....... what about a high tea, or an elegant cocktail reception.  Ditch the pomp and ceremony and go for a Wedding Picnic in a local beauty spot.  The possibilities are endless.

5. IT WILL BE REMEMBERED
Your guests experience will be different and they will look back fondly, having been part of it, for years to come.
